Imagine how much easier it would be to commercialize an education in the online arena. Sell ads ala Facebook. Of course, you’d have to expand the time you allocate to students to take the tests since they may be reading (and clicking on!) the ads instead.
Perhaps its a new kind of link, a “yeah I’m interested, send me more info/catch me later” kind of link. Sure, in a coursesite the ad could already know your email address, right? So students could click on the ad such that an email would be waiting for them in their inboxes when they finish the test?
But what about untimed course content? Yeah, that would work better. Just ads on your coursesite to support your course…
