BbWorld ’08: The Palazzo: Water, Water Everywhere…

…and not a drop to drink.

Normally I’m not fussy about tap water, but this is the worst tap water I’ve ever encountered. I’m not sure if this taste is chlorine mixed with ammonia, or some other poison, and I didn’t wait to find out. Especially after a red eye flight and arriving at 2:30am my body’s time, I had to rehydrate, meaning a descent (by my dear husband, who was also parched) from the guest elevator to the 24-hour coffee/convenience shop to buy a liter of water for $4.50 (!)  (Didn’t even want to look in the mini-bar!)

The Walgreen’s out the side Palazzo entrance (S. Las Vegas Ave facing Treasure Island) and down about 3 blocks, sells an entire gallon (3.78 Liters for our metric friends) for under $2.

We stocked up…
