Rather Fight than Switch?

I know… the ad dates me. But the old cigarette campaign may help frame this discussion.

Given that one size doesn’t fit all, how do we decide what’s right for our institution?

Fighting budgets? Fighting to expand limitations in our current CMS… Fighting to correctly size our resources to expanding use… Fighting for specific tools needed by your institution?

Switching? Switching support paradigms… Switching long term vision and strategy in keeping with evolving technology… Switching to another course management system?

We’ll hear some more from North Iowa Community College and their recent switch from WebCT CE 4.x to ANGEL …

Meanwhile I’ll be drawing in other ‘Switcher’ cases such as the one announced Oct. 4th by the University of Virginia. The switch that made sense to them was from their homegrown CMS to Sakai.
